"We moved to Hemel Hempstead from Forest Hill in South East London and knew we wanted to rip out all the old carpets and lay new in our new house before or as we moved in.
I did a quick search on Google and discounting all the major chains, found Avalon's website. Finding the site to be clear, well layed out and with the OFT badge front and centre, I decided to email Gary.
He responded to our request for removal of the old carpets and the installation of new immediately and arranged to visit the property in order to give us a full quote. This arrived based on carpets we had chosen within a couple of days and we happily signed up.
Gary arrived on the day we collected the keys and ripped out all the old carpets. The fitter arrived first thing the next morning and worked around our removal people to lay the carpets to an excellent standard.
He also fitted laminate flooring to the bathroom and cloakroom."
This was the least stressful part of our move and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend Avalon to anyone.

"Following the complete remodelling of a bathroom at our house into a shower room we needed to install a new floor finish.
We contacted Gary Garner of Avalon Flooring to discuss how he could help us and to briefly describe what sort of finishes we would like. The following day we had a set of sample books dropped off at our house.
We chose our preferred floor and asked Gary to install the floor including any substrate that was required to level the floor and provide the correct base for the new tiles.
Again Gary organised this in double quick time and Russ, his floor layer arrived shortly afterwards at around 1.30pm. Russ worked non-stop from the moment he arrived until around 7.30pm and the result is fabulous.
Recently we gave a testimonial to our plumber, Mike Wilson, saying that we had never had as good a tradesman working in our house. Well, Avalon Flooring equalled that standard.
Not only was the floor laid impreccably but also intelligently given its tiled layout and the fact the substrate and tiles needed to be cut around radiator supports and feeds as well as toliet base.
We are absolutely delighted with the results and would unreservedly recommend Gary and Avalon Flooring to anyone requiring a new floor finish."
